Yahoo/Parenting article responding to my Test Unit distributed in July, 2008

When I was randomly handing out 40 test units in July, 2008, one of the mother's strolling by the Menlo Park farmer's market happened to be the editor of Yahoo-Parenting. She wrote about the test unit the following month. She even photographed the test unit on her living room floor. The key difference you'll see, other than the obvious final product being composed of soft and flexible polyurethane foam, is that the optic yellow head and sleepy smiling face are much more pronounced, adding to the outside visibility. The writer didn't touch on the fact that the VizKID now becomes the ONLY active symbol in the vehicle that conveys the idea, "there's a child in the back, Right Now."

  1. When this compared to Automobile (in car/van) AC how diff this product is. And these car ACs have climate control and adjust in car room temp as per the settings. Please educate me !!!

  2. As a parent of a 5-month old, I've been anxiously awaiting the release of this product and am glad to hear it's finally being released. I think it's a definite must-have!

  3. I like the idea that passerbys can see the VizKID from outside the vehicle. I will always be alerted whenever I see a parked car with a VizKID in the front seat. It's always heart-wrenching to hear news of infant deaths of this nature. I think buying this product will be worth the cost. You just never know what could happen. My baby is everything to me. Can't wait to get one. Hope it catches on. Thanks.

  4. Vizkid will be easy to see and when I spot that optic yellow smiley face, I definitely will double check for an "unattended baby in the car seat." Our children are so very precious and I hope parents/guardians make a habit of using Vizkid for their children's sake. Great idea!
